With all the new EPA and CARB emission reduction requirements installed in newer Semi Trucks. When will the trucking companies band together and create lawsuits against the truck manufactures?
These newer trucks must be towed to a repair facility when these emission reduction devices malfunction, because the trucks computer system shuts the truck down!
DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems have NOTHING to do with the functional running for the engine yet, it strands the truck and driver on the side of the road, resulting in a VERY expensive tow bill.
The truck manufacture should have the computer turn the “Check Engine Light” activated and allow the driver to take it to the nearest repair facility, not shut the truck down!
